Blooms for Heroes was created with one purpose in mind: to give back to the people who give so much of themselves. Our military members, veterans, and first responders spend their lives protecting, serving, and uplifting our communities. When it’s time for them to celebrate one of life’s most meaningful moments: asking the person they love to spend forever with them, they deserve an experience that feels as extraordinary as their service. Through Blooms for Heroes, we provide complimentary, beautifully designed flower wall proposal experiences for these deserving individuals. Every installation is thoughtfully crafted to reflect their story, their love, and the moment they’ve dreamed about. From selecting the perfect floral backdrop to coordinating the proposal setup, we take care of every detail so they can focus on what matters most: the person standing in front of them. By offering this service at no cost, Blooms for Heroes is our way of giving back, saying thank you, and honoring the courage and commitment of those who serve. Here in Hickory, we believe every hero deserves a beautiful beginning to their forever story. And we’re honored to help create it.
Apply for Blooms for Heroes
Blooms for Heroes is open to military members, veterans, and first responders who serve or have served in North Carolina. Eligible applicants include:
Active-duty military, veteran, or member of the National Guard/Reserve
Firefighter
Police officer or law enforcement officer
EMT, paramedic, or first responder
911 dispatcher or emergency telecommunicator
Search and rescue or emergency response team member
Applicants must be planning a proposal and reside within our service area. This program is designed to honor those who dedicate their lives to protecting and serving our communities. We invite you to complete a Blooms for Heroes application form and share a little about your story.

Nominate a Hero
If you know someone who has dedicated their life to protecting and serving others, you can help give them the unforgettable moment they deserve.
You can nominate a hero who is:
Active-duty military, veteran, or member of the National Guard/Reserve
