Client Spotlight: Love, Styled

A bride and groom are walking through a garden

There's something magical about witnessing a vision come to life. When Brooke and Cole reached out to us six months before their September wedding, they had one clear request: they wanted their guests to feel like they'd stepped into a secret garden the moment they arrived. Fast forward to their wedding day, and our 8 foot cascading floral wall did exactly that and so much more.

Today, we're sitting down with Brooke and Cole to talk about the creative process, the big reveal, and why they chose a statement floral installation as the centerpiece of their celebration.

The Vision: More Than Just a Backdrop

Pabfw: Brooke, what made you first consider a floral wall for your wedding?

Brooke: Honestly, I'd been to so many weddings where the ceremony was beautiful but the cocktail hour felt like an afterthought. I wanted every moment to feel intentional and immersive. When I stumbled across photos of floral walls on Instagram, I knew immediately this wasn't just going to be a photo backdrop. This was going to be the moment when our wedding went from nice to unforgettable.

Cole: I'll admit, when Brooke first showed me the concept, I thought it might be over the top. But then Petal & Bloom showed us mockups with our color palette, and I got it. This wasn't about being extravagant. It was about creating an experience.

The Design Process: Collaboration in Bloom

Pabfw: Brooke, walk us through how you approached designing the wall.

Brooke: The design calls were honestly some of my favorite parts of wedding planning. I'm a pretty indecisive person, but Petal & Bloom made it so easy. They'd send me photos of various flower wall combinations, we'd adjust, and I always felt heard.

Cole: And they were patient with me asking a thousand questions about structural logistics. Where would it go? How long would it take to install? Would it photograph well in our lighting? They had answers for everything.

Installation Day: Watching Magic Unfold

Pabfw: What was it like seeing the wall come together?

Brooke: I wasn't supposed to see it before the wedding day, but I may have snuck a peek during setup. I actually got teary eyed. It was even more stunning than I'd imagined: these layers of flowers cascading down, the way the light hit the petals, the ambiance. It felt like walking into a different world.

Cole: When I walked in for our first look photos, I remember thinking, "This is going to be in our home as a massive print someday." It was just that striking.

The Wall in Action: Guest Reactions

Pabfw: How did your guests respond?

Brooke: Oh my gosh, the reactions were everything. We positioned the wall at the entrance to our cocktail hour, so it was the first thing people saw after the ceremony. I heard so many gasps, and within minutes, there was a line of people waiting to take photos in front of it.

Cole: We actually set up a little sign that said "Blessed to Have You" with our custom hashtag, and our photographer told us it was the most photographed spot of the entire wedding. Even people who normally hate taking photos were asking to stand in front of it.

Brooke: We got so many comments afterward. My aunt said it was the most beautiful wedding she'd ever attended. My college friends said it felt like a fairy tale. One of my bridesmaids told me she's already planning to do something similar for her wedding next year.

Beyond the Big Day: Lasting Impressions

Pabfw: Looking back now, would you do it again?

Brooke: Without question. If I could go back, I might even make it bigger! It was worth every penny. When we look at our wedding photos and video, the wall is in so many shots, and each one takes me right back to that feeling of pure joy.

Cole: Same. It was an investment, but it elevated the entire event. And the best part? We didn't have to worry about it. Petal & Bloom handled everything: delivery, installation, breakdown. We just got to enjoy it.

Advice for Future Couples

Pabfw: Any wisdom for couples considering a floral wall?

Brooke: Trust your creative team. I was nervous about some of the bolder color choices, but they were right. The contrast made everything pop. Also, think about placement. We chose a spot where it would be visible but not in the way, and that made all the difference.

Cole: Budget for professional photography. You're investing in this beautiful installation. Make sure you have great photos to remember it by.
